The name "Interior" signifies the "inner space" that forms around the body.

BORNE was founded with the desire to create garments that subtly highlight the wearer, rather than having the clothes themselves stand out.

Designed with a relaxed I-line silhouette, the fabric is engineered to drape naturally away from the body. While it's a "nothingness" dress shirt with decorative elements like the placket, pockets, and sleeve tucks stripped away as much as possible, the subtle stitch designs and gentle surface texture of the fabric create a balance that naturally blends into everyday life.

Additionally, the sleeves employ a pattern different from typical shirt sleeves. The sleeves are designed to curve slightly towards the elbow, aligning with the body's movement when a person naturally lowers their arm, causing only the hands to swing slightly forward. Rather than merely tracing the body's shape, we aimed for a design that adheres to actual movement, so that when worn, it evokes a feeling of "somehow comfortable."

The fabric used is high-density British cotton broadcloth, subjected to a mild bio-processing treatment.

Bio-processing is a finishing method that uses enzymes to remove excess fibers from the surface of cotton fabric, making the surface softer. By gently softening the fabric's initial crispness and luster, it retains a classic and refined appearance while feeling naturally broken in from the very first wear.

The thin mother-of-pearl buttons with a rim and four holes centered are a long-time favorite among the accessories I choose, and I always find myself reaching for them. Thinking of the seaside where I grew up, I am inclined to choose real shell buttons born from nature rather than plastic. Although a small detail, these personal sensibilities are one of the things I value in creating clothes.

The colors are pure white, a blank canvas, and Morning Light, reminiscent of the early summer sun. I chose colors that evoke a light and airy feeling in the spring and summer light.
