The name "Interior" refers to the "inner space" that forms around the body.

BORNE was founded with the desire to create items that subtly highlight the wearer, rather than having the clothing stand out.

With a relaxed I-line silhouette, the fabric is designed to fall naturally away from the body. While it is a "minimalist" dress shirt, with decorative elements like the placket, pockets, and sleeve tucks stripped away as much as possible, the delicate stitch design and the fabric's gentle surface texture create a balance that naturally blends into everyday life.

Additionally, the sleeves feature a pattern different from typical shirt sleeves. The sleeves are designed to curve slightly towards the elbow, aligning with the natural movement of the body where the hands swing slightly forward when the arms are relaxed. Rather than simply tracing the body's shape, we aimed for a design that feels "somehow comfortable" when worn by conforming to actual movement.

The fabric used is high-density British cotton broadcloth with a slight bio-processing treatment.

Bio-processing is a finishing method that uses enzymes to remove excess fibers from the surface of cotton fabric, making the surface softer. By gently softening the initial crispness and luster of the fabric, it retains a classic and refined look while acquiring a texture that feels naturally broken-in from the first wear.

The thin mother-of-pearl buttons with rims and four holes clustered in the center are a long-time favorite accessory of mine, something I always reach for. When I recall the seaside where I grew up, I prefer to choose genuine shell buttons born from nature rather than plastic. Although a small detail, these personal sensibilities are also one of the things I value in creating clothing.

The colors are pure white, reminiscent of a fresh canvas, and morning light, evoking the early summer sun. I chose colors that make you feel lighthearted in the spring and summer light.
